Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!
Enjoy the beautiful weather we are supposed to have!
This was a very busy week!! Be sure to let me know any last minute games, concerts, etc. your student may be involved in!
Literacy
Reading:
We have focused on our independent reading books this week! We even got to read outside a little bit!
Writing:
We continue to finish our poetry books as well as work on our creative choice projects! Everything is coming along VERY well!
Math
We continued our measurement unit by weighing objects around the room and deciding which device would best work for what they were weighing. We also learned about liquid capacity by using measuring cups to find how many quarts, pints, and cups are in a gallon. We also made a "Gallon Man" which I will post pictures of next week when everyone finishes!
Social Studies
We continued down the Hacker Trail with a few mishaps here and then, but a relatively smooth week for all wagon trains! Students also turned in their reports. WOW! They were wonderful and very fun to read! Some students even wanted to share theirs with the class! I certainly learned a lot!
HAVE A GREAT LONG WEEKEND!!
P.S. Next week, look for pictures from the Ropes Course field trip!
